Client Testimonial:One Year on........ .......’The Nursery garden continues to be an exciting and stimulating area for the children to develop in. The carefully planned design gives both staff and children scope to develop according to seasons and interests. A variety of levels has given the children opportunities to take natural risks and develop health and bodily awareness. He has been involved in our community project from the start. His commitment to the whole process has been total, Nick has supported us in obtaining funding via the National Lottery, he’s been the lead in engaging a complex number of stakeholders in the project, and finally he’s worked closely with the Contractors to ensure the work is completed to the design.The stakeholders for our project were a diverse bunch; comprising of parents, staff, volunteer committee, the owners of the building, neighbours and the young nursery children. Nick worked hard to ensure all the relevant stakeholders had their opinions taken in to account in the design process, and were happy with the final design. Nick’s drawings are fantastic and inspired the parent committee to be excited by the project and to start planning funding and use of the garden. He was able to give us ‘ad hoc’ presentations when required and made himself available at any time we needed his support, including during the process to obtain funding. Finally, Nick worked as a project manager for us with the Contractors, ensuring they followed the design, used the correct materials and finished within the specific time-frame. We had just the summer holiday to complete the project, and only received notification of funding three weeks in to the holiday, so both Nick and the Contractors worked really hard to ensure the project was largely complete before the children returned to nursery to use the garden.The garden will make a massive difference to all the children who attend the nursery’.
